"I am very happy with my results from Sit Happens. We adopted a 7 year old German Shepherd with some behavior issues I could not resolve myself. Even the shelter we got her from didn't really know what to do to help. Our new dog was very well behaved inside, but as soon as she went out for walks or car rides, she would lunge and snap at any passing cars. She would actually get hit by a car if she got let loose. There was no calming her as she went into a frenzy and wouldn't respond to verbal commands, food, or physically restraining her; she would still keep violently trying to get the cars. Enter Jenna: during the consultation, we described the issues with our dog. She listened and shared with us a game plan. 5 lessons later and our dog is unrecognizable in the best way possible! She taught us how to teach the dog and gave us homework during the week between lessons. She tailored the lessons to suit our needs rather than following a pre-made course that wouldn't benefit our specific issues. Now, we go on walks, car rides, dog-friendly stores, and even started off-leash training in public! I never would have thought that possible. Jenna was always on time to each lesson. The one time we had to reschedule due to illness, she was very accommodating. She is very easy to communicate with via text or call. I had a lot of questions during our homework and she was quick to respond with a solution. She even texted me over a list of recommendations for different toys to alleviate boredom and release energy. All in all, very satisfied with our lessons."
"We contacted Sit Happens to provide training for our Sandi so she can travel with us. Sandi is a mixed breed rescue, about 7 years old; she is a good girl, but shy and skittish. We met with Jenna and Tim, and Tim is providing the training. Five lessons later, and the difference is remarkable. The picture is Sandi in a busy pet store, just sitting there and not looking for a place to hide! She walks beautifully on her leash, stays with us, doesn't run from other dogs, comes when called and sits calmly, and stays in "place" until called. Tim is fantastic with dogs and his experience training dogs in the USAF has made him an expert at what he does. Not only is he great at what he does, but he's an incredibly nice guy. I highly recommend Sit Happens to anyone looking for a dog trainer. You will be happier, and so will your fur kid!"
