Make sure your dog knows ‘Sit’ first

Use treats and reward accordingly
Treats help shape behaviors we want to train, and everyone wants to be rewarded for doing something new! Only reward your dog once their elbows hit the ground, otherwise they’ll get confused on what behavior you want from them.
Move the treat straight down to the ground, don’t angle it outwards
Once your dog is in a sit position, move the treat straight down from their nose and rest your hand on the ground. Try not to angle the treat outwards at all, otherwise the dog with pop up and try to move forward to get it. Rest your hand with the treat inside on the ground until both of your dog’s elbows hit the ground, then reward and praise like crazy!!
